Weymouth seafront is designated a Conservation Area which, along with many rules and regulations, means ‘these exist to protect the historic and architectural elements which make the place special’.

How is it that the people in power to make the decisions were able to get away with putting laser lights, which have obviously been so unpopular that in a relatively short space of time have to be updated?

Now instead of facing the facts that they made a mistake they want to make the situation worse with this new scheme.

Instead of paying consultants from elsewhere huge amounts of money, just replace an improved version of the fairy lights which were so popular and enhanced the curve of the bay.

Hopefully that would mean keeping a lot of residents and holidaymakers happy, saving money and abiding by the conservation rules which are there to preserve the character and appearance of our beautiful bay.
