The Royal British Legion is looking for daredevils to take part in a tandem skydive event.

The day, on Tuesday, September 18, will give participants the chance to enjoy an exhilarating experience while raising money for the charity to provide support to the Armed Forces community and their families.

There are only 70 places available, so prospective participants are being advised to book as soon as possible.

Ian Jarvis, legion community fundraiser, said: “The legion is at the heart of a national network which supports our Armed Forces community through thick and thin, ensuring their unique contribution is never forgotten.

"Those signing up to take part in a skydive will get a huge buzz – not only from the excitement and thrill of the descent, but also knowing they are helping the legion to continue to provide help and support to our Armed Forces community."

In the final year of the First World War centenary, the Royal British Legion is seeking to inspire a national movement to say 'thank you' to the generation who served, sacrificed and changed the world.

Participants must be 16 or older. The event takes place at Old Sarum Airfield in Salisbury.
