Police are warning people to be vigilant following an online scam.
Dorset Police say they have become aware of a scam involving persons not paying for items on sites like Gumtree.
The scam involve the person contacting the seller asking for a large item to be sent via courier.
Police say the victim then receives an email claiming to be from Paypal showing funds have been received.
A spokesman added that the email is a forgery with no funds transferring into their account and the victim was asked to pay for courier via Moneygram following this bogus Paypal email.
