Pictures from the fire service show a tractor going up in flames.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Bere Regis and Dorchester were alerted this afternoon to a tractor on fire in East Knighton.
Two hose reel jets, a light portable pump and a main line was used by the crews to extinguish the fire but unfortunately the tractor was destroyed by the fire.
The brigade said 30 square metres of vegetation was also destroyed in the fire.
