After weeks of hot, dry weather, thunderstorms are forecast this weekend - and the Met Office has issued a warning that the rain could be torrential.
The Met Office has issued a severe-weather warning for Dorset and the south-west, with heavy rain and strong winds expected to hit the county from before dawn on Sunday, and lasting well into the afternoon.
Spray and flooding are likely to make journey times longer, the office warned, while some coastal routes and communities may be affected by high waves and spray. Power cuts are also possible.
Thunderstorms are meanwhile forecast for Friday afternoon and evening, but are expected to clear after midnight.
