Lifeboat crews were called on Friday to reports of a yacht in difficulties.
Weymouth RNLI all-weather lifeboat was launched at 11.20pm last night to reports of a yacht in difficulties close to Arish Mel, just to the East of Lulworth Cove.
Solent Coastguard had tasked the lifeboat to go to the aid of a 34'yacht with two persons onboard which had suffered engine failure and with no wind.
Once arriving on scene at 11.55pm, the volunteer lifeboat crew checked that the yacht crew were all okay.
They then passed a line and towed the vessel back to Weymouth Harbour arriving at approx 1.30am on Saturday.
