Festival fever continues at Lulworth Castle as Camp Bestival makes way for Bestival.

The family-friendly, smaller Camp Bestival was held at the site last weekend.

It was in part a huge success with one of the festival's more bizarre moments involving baking queen Mary Berry get up on stage to drum for Never Gonna Give You Up singer Rick Astley.

Unfortunately due to deteriorating weather conditions, which saw the site lashed by heavy rain and strong winds on Sunday, the festival ended abruptly with afternoon and evening performances cancelled.

It is hoped the weather will be kinder for Bestival – the current forecast is for fine and dry weather and plenty of sunshine. Saturday looks to be the hottest day with temperatures edging towards 30 degrees C.

It was announced last year that Bestival, which relocated from the Isle of Wight to Lulworth, would be held a week after Camp Bestival "due to popular demand".

Previously, it was held later in the summer.

This year Bestival celebrates its 15th anniversary and will be having a circus theme.

It will feature headline sets from Silk City (Diplo and mark Ronson) London Grammar, M.I.A. and Jorja Smith.

There is more than 20 stages and 'micro-venues' and other musical acts include Grace Jones, First Aid Kit, Plan B, Chaka Khan, Goldie, Jimmy Cliff, and DJ sets from Rudimental, Faithless, Gilles Peterson and Craig Charles.

The festival kicks off this Thursday and runs until Sunday.

Festival founder Rob da Bank said: "As any Bestival veteran knows we don't just do music, so come and check our Hot Yoga, Dubstep Dodgem rides, wood-fired hot tubs, Ambientland craft tent, East 17’s Christmas Party!, and loads of circus-based trickery, including a Human Cannonball, high wire fire walking and a pretty buff strongman popping up on the Main Stage.”

Meanwhile, online music discovery platform Distiller TV is teaming up with Bestival's record label Sunday Best to record some of the hottest up-and-coming acts on the Bestival bill/

This "unparalleled, intimate Bestival audio-visual experience will be an unmissable slice of festival action", organisers say.

Sarah Bolshi, Sunday Best co-director with Rob da Bank, said: “This year we are very excited to be hosting live sessions with Distiller TV in our Sunday Best tent at Bestival. It’s paramount to us at Sunday Best to help showcase new up and coming talent, and with Distiller TV we’re able to do this. Keep an eye out for some really amazing sessions including our latest signing Plastic Mermaids. In the evening, our tent will transform into a hidden disco where we will carry on the party into the early hours with some amazing sets from some really special DJs."
