A market with a difference will be coming to Dorchester this weekend.

The Dorchester Summer Vegan Market will be held on Saturday at the Corn Exchange on High East Street.

Sheila Biddlecombe, who has been one of the main organisers of the market, explained that this is the first Dorchester vegan market.

There was a vegan fair held at the Corn Exchange in 2015, but there are a few differences with the upcoming vegan market.

The downstairs of the Corn Exchange will be full of vegan stalls offering 100 per cent vegan products including delicious hot and cold food, tea, coffee and yummy cakes, health and beauty care, aromatherapy, eco-friendly products, beautiful jewellery and clothing, information and so much more.

There will be a host of businesses from the area and further afield with members of staff on hand to talk about their products.

Sheila cares deeply about animals and believes the vegan lifestyle is the best way to support them, as well as being a healthier life choice.

She said: "We want everyone to come and experience this fantastic vegan market as with clothing, jewellery, pampering, health and great vegan food there is something for everyone. It's not just for vegans.

"I think people will be surprised to see favourites like hot dogs are accessible to vegans and taste great. With information and tasty food we intend to change the image of a vegan lifestyle."

The market will run from 9.30am until 2pm at the Corn Exchange and will be free to enter.
