HERE we go round the fairy lights again.

Just as in the situation with the lights on the seafront, we have a similar procedure being undertaken by the council to hoodwink us yet again.

They speak of taking opinion into account and hold the appropriate meetings but the end of the day it’s all been arranged and will be put into place.

A council spokesman has been quoted as saying the proposed plan takes Weymouth and Portland into the 21st-century.

I assume they means that by then we won’t need private transport and come to think of it my wife and I could take the bus from Southill but unfortunately we have no buses.

Without adequate parking nearby to the theatre then it will probably close down.

Build the proposed luxury hotel et cetera on the site of the disused council building near the inner harbour, and instead concentrate on providing the tourist with adequate toilets, tourist information, and of course parking
