OTHER than our lovely beach what is there to look forward to in Weymouth & Portland?
There could be so much to attract visitors here, but what are the prospects?
First: The long needed Weymouth to Portland relief road, which has been discussed for a long time & would benefit businesses & visitors to Portland. Also, with the increase in cruise liners calling to Portland, these visitors at least deserve a decent road system from the port. Why has it again been side-lined? Many local people are dismayed & disgusted at this suicidal attitude being shown.
Second: How long has the problem of the Esplanade lighting been batted backwards & forwards, with the latest demonstration being all so called experts can come up with. And our council seem to be defending it. Will the council have the guts to publish the cost of it? I won’t hold my breath!
