A MAN has been arrested after a crash between a Ferrari and a Peugeot at a New Forest beauty spot.

Police, firefighters and paramedics dealt with the crash, near Bolton's Bench, Lyndhurst on Monday afternoon.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Fire and Rescue said the crash, on Beaulieu Road involved two cars. It took place around 2pm.

One person was extricated from a vehicle and taken to hospital by South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS).

He was said to be 'conscious and breathing'.

Crews from Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst, Beaulieu and Redbridge all attended the incident and helped clear hydraulic fluid from the road.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Fire and Rescue said the stop message was received around 3pm.

A Hampshire Police spokesperson said a man had been arrested.

"We were called at 2.04pm to reports of a collision on Beaulieu Road, Lyndhurst," the spokesperson said.

"A Peugeot 206 and a Ferrari were involved. A person has been arrested at the scene."
