A vehicle hit the central reservation on the A35.
Police were called at 8.16am after a car crashed into the central reservation on the A35.
The crash occurred on the east bound carriageway between Tolpuddle Ball junction and the Puddletown turning.
The car caused damage to the central reservation and the fire service were requested to attend.
South Western Ambulance Service also attended the scene.
A spokesman for the service said: "We were called at 8:17am to reports of a road traffic collision.
"We attended with an ambulance.
"It has been reported that the patient was treated at the scene."
One lane was blocked following the crash, but the road was cleared at 9.20am.
