Thousands of visitors arrived for a day in Dorset after the latest cruise ship sailed into Portland Port this morning.

Ken Deadman captured this picture of Norwegian Jade arriving into the port at around 7am.

The ship is part of the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet and is 294m long and has space for 2,402 people.

On board the cruise ship are restaurants, a grand casino, swimming pools, a spa and even a nightclub.

The Jade won't be hanging around long and will be leaving the port at 3pm to head to the next destination.

The Portland Port cruise season is coming to an end after another successful year - but several more visitors are still expected, including Astor tomorrow, Nautica on Tuesday and Seabourn Ovation will be ending the season on October 8.
