Hold on to your hats- it's going to get windy.

The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings over no less than four days this week.

The warning for 'very strong wind' has come into force this morning and will continue throughout the day and night until until 9am tomorrow - with winds reaching 32mph tonight.

The county will get some respite throughout the day Friday and Saturday but the blustery weather will hit the county again on Sunday morning - once again continuing through the night until 9am Monday.

It will be a blowy day on the coast with winds up to 25mph however winds will pick up throughout the evening and winds could reach a hairaising 32mph with gusts of 54mph during the night.

According to the Beaufort wind force scale winds of 32mph are 'near gale' with whole trees in motion and inconvenience felt when walking against the wind.

The weather will be dry during the day today and tomorrow but rain is forecast during the night tonight.

A spokesman said: "There is a slight chance of some damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs or through falling trees and branches. This could also bring the chance of injuries and danger to life."

Motorists, rail users and travellers may incur delays as the weather affects transport which may cause cancellations to road, rail, air and ferry services.

There is also a small chance that some roads and bridges will close.

People on the coast over the coming days are warned there is a chance of injury and danger to life from large waves and beach material being thrown onto sea fronts, coastal roads and properties.

As the winds pick up, power cuts may occur which could potentially affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage.
