AN inquest into the death of a motorcyclist who died in hospital two days after a crash in Dorchester has been opened and adjourned.
Richard Hallett, aged 25, of Inglescombe Street, Poundbury, Dorchester, died at Southampton Hospital on September 16.
He'd been airlifted to Southampton for emergency treatment after the motorbike he'd been riding was in collision with a van in Hessary Street, near the junction of Lower Blackmore Road, at Poundbury, on September 14.
Yesterday (Sept 24), Bournemouth Coroner's Court heard the cause of death was severe head injury.
A police investigation remains ongoing, and the inquest was adjourned until May 29.
