Weymouth's all weather lifeboat was launched after a fishing trawler lost power 15 miles off Portland Bill.
The incident happened yesterday (27/09).
The lifeboat was launched at 00:50am to assist a Brixham based fishing trawler which had broken down 15 miles South West of Portland Bill.
Wyke Coastguard was called at 4.55am to provide an initial response team to meet Weymouth's all weather lifeboat.
The trawler was towed back to Weymouth arriving at 6.30am.
A spokesman for Wyke Coastguard said: "The all weather life boat had launched to the assistance of a fishing vessel which had lost power 15 miles South West of Portland Bill.The team tied the vessel alongside before carrying out a welfare check, they then returned to station."
