Firefighters were called to a premises on The Parade in Swanage after a tumble dryer caught fire.
The incident happened at 9.01am this morning.
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Two crews attended from Swanage and Wareham, tumble dryer alight in a first-floor kitchen, a CO2 extinguisher, two breathing apparatus wearers and one hose reel jet used, the stop came at 9.31am.”
A post on Swanage Fire Station’s Facebook page adds: “It was lucky the fire was confined to the tumble dryer and damage to the kitchen area was minimal.”
