The Dorchester and District Amnesty Group thank everyone who supported our street collection on September 22.
So many kind people stopped in atrocious weather to make a donation and give us encouragement and the £179.16 raised topped all our expectations on such a wet day.
The money will go towards cards and postage for our Tree of Hope in December and any remaining will be used to continue our campaigning on behalf of people world-wide who have been imprisoned, tortured or threatened for their peacefully-held beliefs.
Once again, a big “thank you” to Dorchester residents and visitors for their generosity.
