There's a host of roadworks happening in the Weymouth area this month.

Temporary lights will be set up to control traffic for some of the works.

Drivers are asked to be patient and to allow extra time for their journeys.

Wessex Water is due to finish repairing a leak today on Lanehouse Rocks Road, but Dorset County Council is scheduled to start patching work on the same stretch of road. towards the Chickerell Road junction.

Elsewhere, Wessex Water will be working in Preston Road for a few days from tomorrow to repair and replace a valve, and will also be working on the A353 at Osmington.

Additionally, the company will be working on the A354 Buxton Road for two weeks from this Monday on a project involving a manhole and sewer. The work will be carried out near to Cross Road.

Also starting next Monday, the county council will be carrying out a week of lining works near the Esso garage in King Street. Multi-way traffic signals will be switched on for these works.

And on the same day, BT work will cause disruption on the B3390 Warmwell Road at Crossways.

Meanwhile on Portland, the county council has been carrying out night resurfacing work this week in Castletown and Fortuneswell.
