Purbeck Film Festival will start this week.
It is the longest running rural film festival in the UK and is supported by more than 5,000 people annually.
This year is the 22nd anniversary of the festival which will run from October 12-27.
The festival offers a unique cinematic experience with introductions, special guests, film notes, a great atmosphere and strong community spirit. Programmes are available from Rex Cinema, tourist information centres, libraries, shops, restaurants, art centres or on the festival’s website www.purbeckfilm.com
Tickets can be bought online or at The Rex Cinema during box office opening times (45 minutes before film programmes begin).

The aim of the festival is to bring films to areas of rural Dorset often in the form of memorable community events such as the outdoor screenings at Corfe Castle and on Studland Beach.
