A WEYMOUTH man is due in court in connection with an alleged robbery more than a year ago when the victims were threatened with acid and a knife.
It was reported that at around 8.30am on Sunday, July 16 last year a group of four boys and two girls – all aged around 16 years old – were playing football in Kings Park, Bournemouth, when they were approached by two men.
The men reportedly threatened the group, claiming they had acid and a knife, and stole money and a vape smoking device.
No one was physically injured and no weapon was seen.
Police have now said two men are due to appear in court in connection with the incident.
A 24-year-old Weymouth man has been issued with a postal requisition for offences of robbery and attempted robbery to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Friday, October 12.
A 27-year-old man from Bournemouth has been issued with a postal requisition for two offences of robbery to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on the same date.
