WEST Dorset residents are urged to be prepared as a flood alert is issued for West Bay Harbour.
The environment agency has issued a flood alert for this evening's high tide at 7pm (October 9) and high tide tomorrow morning at around 7:30am.
The alert will remain in force for two hours following the time of high tide.
During a flood alert residents are advised to prepare a bag that includes medicines and insurance documents and continue to check flood notifications to ensure the alert does not escalate to a flood warning - when flooding is expected and immediate action is needed.
Information about potential flooding can be found at flood-warning-information.service.gov.uk
