Name: Andy Luddington
Years behind the lens: I have been taking photographs for as long as I can remember but I have been doing it seriously for the last 10 months.
Current Camera: Canon EOS 600D
Dream camera: I'm still trying to work this out but probably the Canon EOS 5D Mk3
Piece of equipment you couldn’t be without: My iPhone. I use it to get inspiration from people who share their images online, plan my next image, work out timings and locations using PhotoPills App.
Favourite Dorset location: Lulworth Cove
Dream location: I have been trying to capture Corfe Castle in the mist all year so that is currently high up there on my list of images to add to my portfolio.
Worst photographic mishap: A rogue wave nearly knocked my camera over whilst I was trying to capture a receding wave at Hengistbury Head. I had to run in after it and luckily stopped it going in! I then had the long walk back to the car with wet shoes!
Best photographic success: Hard to call but probably any of my minimalist landscape or seascape work.
Top tip: Shoot for yourself! Just get out there and enjoy the experience.
What you’ve gained/learnt from or liked about Echo Camera Club Dorset: The images shared on the Echo Camera Club Dorset page are a good source of inspiration. Exceptional images can be captured locally using consumer equipment.
