What would “horrified” (G Arnold, Echo 4/10/18), who spotted a woman dropping a plastic bag of dog muck into a drain, make of the mountain of bagged up droppings I find, when emptying the dozen drain gullies at the indoor bowls club’s large car park, down on the Marsh?
What these drain blocking dog owners, no doubt the same ones ignoring the keep dogs on lead signs, exercising their animals on the sports fields do not realise, it is the plastic bags that block up the drainage system, not the contents.
Some dog owners, obviously too tired to bend down and push them through the drain covers, fling the bags into the surrounding hedges.
But of course, it is only a “tiny irresponsible minority” of dog owners who do this, isn’t it?
