Coastal roads could be closed tonight due to the storm.
Portland Beach Road between Weymouth and Portland and Preston Beach Road in Weymouth are both being monitored due to the potential for large waves from the sea crashing over onto the carriageway.
County highways teams are on standby to close the roads at short notice.
This could happen at any time from two hours following high tide which is set to be 9.37pm at Preston and 9.48pm at Chiswell, Portland.
As reported, a number of flood warnings have been issued for areas of south and west Dorset due to Storm Callum which is sweeping across the region.
A yellow weather warning, meaning be aware, has been issued for areas of Dorset, including Weymouth and Portland lasting until midnight.
