The Dorset Echo is offering businesses free opportunities to improve their skills at marketing online.

The Echo is running a series free digital marketing seminars at the Echo office in Weymouth in November.

There will be four events over two days, with different events for novices and those with some experience of the subject.

Tracy Hayden, Newsquest’s director of advertising Dorset, said: “Digital marketing is a must for every business.

“More and more consumers are researching and buying products and services online and having a solid digital marketing plan is the most cost-effective way to market your business.

“In short, by attending one of our free seminars we can help you navigate your way around the digital landscape and keep you ahead of the curve.”

The seminars will take place on Tuesday, November 6, and Wednesday, November 7, at the Dorset Echo offices at Fleet House, Hampshire Road, Weymouth.

The morning session each day, at 10am, is a premium session, aimed at businesses which already have a marketing expert in the organisation, or who are already spending on digital marketing.

The second session each day, at 2pm, is for any businesses which are keen to expand their digital knowledge, and which may not have a digital or marketing expert in the business.

Topics to be covered will include: How the marketing landscape has changed; setting realistic marketing objectives; multi-channel marketing; getting online display right; and social media – is it right for your business?
