A smoke alarm sounding and a smell of burning at a house in Weymouth prompted a resident to call 999 last night.
Two firefighting crews were sent to the property in Franchise Street, Chapelhay at just before 8pm after the neighbour raised the alarm.
Crews got into the property and found there was smoke inside caused by unattended cooking. They removed the cooking and checked all was well before leaving.
