A PARTY of shaken Russian tourists found themselves being arrested as spies for taking photographs at the Lulworth Cove beauty spot.

The four men spent a night in the cells where they were questioned about their use of cameras near the Lulworth Camp Army base.

Dorset Police later confirmed that all four men had been seen taking photos near the camp but that it later emerged they were among a party of amateur photographers.

The incident came after guards at Lulworth Camp spotted the Russians acting suspiciously and alerted local police.

Their arrest is the latest example of rising tension between Britain and Russia which has seen the RAF called out to deal with alleged spy planes.
