TWO men posing as water board officials tried to trick their way into a man's home, police said.
The men tried to con their way into the home of an older man in Oakhurst Road, Shaftesbury, but left after being refused entry.
Police suspect the same men concocted a story about a burst water main to con their way into an elderly woman's home and steal money.
A police spokesman said one man is in his 40s, the other in his 20s and both were 'very plausible'.
