Firefighters were called to a fire in the open at Lulworth Cove.
The incident happened on Friday.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 9.01pm.
A spokesman from the fire service said: “One crew from Dorchester fire station and an off-road vehicle from Bere Regis were mobilised to a report of a fire in the area of Lulworth Cove. On arrival crews located an area of grassland and cliffs well alight. Crews used the off-road vehicle and its two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire in an area where access was difficult.”
