It's with much sadness that we arrive at the final part of our series of photos remembering various television programmes and films which were shot in Dorset.

This week we've got some shots of TV presenter David Young, who seemed to have a penchant for dressing up!

In April 1982 he came to Weymouth to film, donning regency clothing and heading out on a coach to survey the town.

David, who worked for Westward Television, ITV's regional programme maker for the south west, was a trained architect and travelled the region visiting and explaining historical buildings.

We have another image of him here in the area again in May 1989 with Graham Smith at Penn's bath, below Pennsylvania Castle on Portland.

There are also a few pictures which remain a bit of a mystery.

We have some images of what looks like a programme about Thomas Hardy filmed in February 1989. We know that the actor Cliff Warfield played the role of old Hardy, Clive Parkins Hermann Lea, Mandy Crosbie as young Emma and Guy Henderson as young Hardy.

We'd be very grateful to hear from anyone who can tell us what the production was called! Email joanna.davis@dorsetecho.co.uk

And rounding off what has been a very interesting series, we have an image of celebrity chef Marco Pierre White on a fishing boat in Weymouth Harbour in June 2008 about to depart for a sea fishing trip for his ITV show Marco’s Great British Feast.

During his stay in Dorset he caught a pollack, a lobster and a conger eel during a fishing trip and stopped off at the harbourside to indulge in fish and chips.

He visited the Seagull Cafe as part of his programme, which was described as a ‘mission to discover all that is great about British food’.
