One sometimes hears much negativity about the NHS but on a recent stay in Dorset County Hospital, here in Dorchester, I have to say that I was very well looked after by a team of hard-working dedicated professionals who are all very approachable and for whom nothing is too much trouble.
Staff from other wards were equally affable when I met them in the corridors.
Meal menus are varied and the food is excellent.
Anyone who has any qualms about going to DCH as an inpatient can relax for they will be in very good hands.
My only gripe is the section of railway track behind the Cardiology Unit; Does it really need an old goods wagon to be sitting on it?
