Dorset is set to be lashed by thunder and showers.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning, meaning ‘be aware’ for parts of Dorset on Friday and Saturday.
The weather warning is in place from 6am on Friday and 6pm on Saturday.
Residents have been told to expect bands of heavy and thundery showers which could cause flooding.
A spokesman for the Met Office said: “Bands of heavy, at times thundery, showers are expected to affect parts of southwest England from Friday morning until later on Saturday. Whilst most areas will see a rather wet spell, not everywhere will see the heaviest downpours. Where they do occur, 20-40 mm may fall in 6-12 hours, with perhaps around 50 mm falling in 24 hours - most likely across southeast-facing coasts and moors of Devon and Cornwall. Showers may also contain small hail at times.”
Residents have been told to expect:
• Flooding of a few homes and businesses.
• Bus and train services to be affected with journey times taking longer
• Spray and flooding on roads probably affected journey times.
