Police and immigration officers executed a warrant at Top Wash, in Lynch Lane, at around 10.30am yesterday morning.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said the warrant was in conjunction with immigration services and the Environment Agency.
No arrests were made.
Spokesmen for both the Home Office and Environment Agency said the operation was police-led but could give no further information.
The business, which has been in the Lynch Lane premises for two years, provides car wash and valeting services.
