If property changes hands, even at a high price it is affordable. If you want cheap housing, it has to be on a cheap land for a start, and it need to be unpretentious. But this is a densely populated island and land almost everywhere is expensive (there is cheap land for instance, on Essex marshes, where I once made the mistake of buying a house). Too many Britons think the world owes them a living! Prosperity requires hard work, know-how and initiative.
