A 30-year-old man will stand trial accused of causing serious injuries to two people by dangerous driving.

Timothy Goodwin and Julie Adams were both critically injured following a crash on the A354 Weymouth Relief Road on January 24 this year.

Ben Mykhal Holmes, aged 30, of Lytton Road in Bournemouth, was driving a Ford Transit van when it was involved in the crash with a Vauxhall Zafira.

Holmes is charged with two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He appeared at Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday to deny both charges.

A trial date has been set for July next year.
