Firefighters were called to a hospital in Weymouth this morning following reports of a fire.
The incident happened on the first floor of the Linden Unit at Westhaven Hospital on Radipole Lane.
The Linden Unit is a mental health inpatient facility.
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 8.30am crews from Weymouth and Portland were alerted to a fire at a hospital on Radipole Lane in Weymouth.
“The fire on the first floor had been extinguished by staff prior to their arrival, but crews ventilated the building and assisted staff at the scene.”
