Two women had to be cut from their car following a crash in north Dorset.
The crash happened just after 10.30am this morning on Cook's Lane near to the junction with the A357 Thornhill Road.
Two vehicles - a silver Toyota Land Cruiser and a grey Ford Focus - were involved.
The two women, who were both in the same vehicle, were seriously injured in the crash and had to be cut from their car by firefighters.
It is believed one of the vehicles left the road and hit a wall.
One woman was flown to Southampton General Hospital via air ambulance.
The second woman was taken to Dorset County Hospital by land ambulance.
Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Another person sustained minor injuries in the crash.
Fire crews from Sturminster Newton and Sherborne attended the crash and South Western Ambulance Service attended with an air ambulance, two land ambulances, two critical care teams and an operations officer.
The vehicles have now been recovered and the road has been cleared.
