The A35 was partially blocked due to a fallen tree near Lyme Regis.
The incident happened close to the A358. Traffic was reported to be coping well.

The Met Office said it expected the heavy rain to last throughout the morning, easing at around 9am followed by sunshine and clouds and more, lighter rain this afternoon.
UPDATE: The A35 is reopened both ways and the fallen tree has been removed.
