A 25-year-old woman was arrested after a 11-year-old boy was hit by a car last night.
Police were called just after 6pm to a report of a collision involving a black Mercedes A-class car and a boy in Dorchester Road, Maiden Newton.
The air ambulance is believed to have been in attendance however, the boy was taken to Dorset County Hospital by land ambulance.
His injuries are reported to be minor.
A 25-year-old woman from the Beaminster area was arrested on suspicion of drug-driving offences.
She has since been released under investigation.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "An investigation into the collision remains ongoing."
