FOR people who have not been touched by cancer, the significance and importance of the new cancer treatment centre at Dorset County Hospital will not be apparent.
For those whose lives have been been touched by cancer, whether personally or through family and friends, the service that DCH will now be able to offer is wonderful news.
To travel to Poole on a daily basis for radiotherapy while feeling poorly and dealing with many emotions, is hard. It is time consuming, stressful and costly.
This new centre will help alleviate some of the stress factors of being diagnosed with this dreadful disease and is a wonderful addition to our local hospital.
