A person was taken to hospital after a two-car crash near Piddletrenthide.
The collision happened on Piddle Lane, and the road was partially blocked.
A green Lexus LS430 and a grey Volkswagen Polo were involved.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said they were alerted to the incident at 8.04am.
He added: "This morning there is a road closure on from Piddle Lane and Piddle Valley heading towards Piddletrenthide. Please use an alterative route."
South Western Ambulance Service has confirmed that an amublance attended with an operations officer.
A spokesman said: "It has been reported that one patient has been taken to Dorset County Hospital with reports of a back injury."
The road is now clear.
