South Street, Dorchester
The Dorchester branch of Steamer Trading Cookshops remains open.
The Bournemouth branch of the chain has closed its doors today, with a sign on the door stating: "This store has ceased trading. Your nearest store is Dorchester, Southampton or Lymington."
Staff at the Dorchester branch in South Street confirmed that it remains open.
The Dorset Echo's sister paper, the Bournemouth Echo, reported this afternoon that staff at the branch in Gervis Place, Bournemouth were seen removing stock from the premises this afternoon. It is unclear how many other of the chain's stores, if any, are affected.
When the Echo contacted Steamer Trading's head office, we were told they had no information to give on any shop closures.
