Four people were taken to hospital after a crash involving two vehicles on the A30 this morning.
Police were called at 6.20am to reports of the incident.
The A30 Shaftesbury Road was closed in both directions due to the accident.
Two cars were involved in the collision, with one ending up on its roof.
Four patients were taken to Yeovil District Hospital with varying back, leg and nose injuries.
South Western attended with four ambulances, a critical care team, an operations officer and a rapid response vehicle.
The incident occurred between The Old Road and A357 Ash End, affecting traffic between Sherborne and Shaftesbury.
DW Fire and Rescue were notified at 6.20am and sent two crews from Sherborne to assist.
The road has since been reopened.
