If I was PM for the day the following would happen. With Brexit I think it is a simple answer, definitely not Mrs May’s ‘deal’. If that was all that Europe offered I’d take no deal and start trading with America, India, China and the Commonwealth.

Secondly, I’d introduce Proportional Representation so that more voices are heard in parliament rather than two polarising parties. The House of Lords would become fully electable. The Sovereign Grant would cease. Church and state would be separated. Online voting legalised through secure sites. The voting age would be lowered to 16. Metric system used instead of imperial.

Austerity swiftly lifted as tax loopholes would be closed. Corporation tax enforced rather than at current the likes of Amazon pay less than their employees. Employees given a seat on the board to prevent workers rights being watered down.

Justice system reform, cannabis would be legalised for over 18s and permitted to be smoked in specified cafés or in one's own home. All other current illegal drugs would be decriminalised for possession but dealers would still be prosecuted. This would encourage those addicted to seek help. The system has worked wonders in Portugal where heroin use dropped and so did AIDS. This would free up prisons and courts of consenting adults making the decision to take a substance that affects nobody else.

Euthanasia legalised so people could die with dignity rather than suffer for their last days. This would would save thousands on the NHS of keeping people alive who are going to die and who want to die.

Solar Panels would be required on new builds going forth and all lamp post changeovers would require car charging points. Wind turbines installed in the English Channel.

Migrants would have to follow the new points system any illegally crossing would be sent back. Aid would be sent to source.

Homeless people would be sheltered in empty buildings or buses. Charities would then help guide them.

Mobile network roaming would be enforced to prevent poor coverage especially for rural areas like Dorset. Fibre optic continually funded.
