Police say missing man David Loose has been found safe and well and would like to thank the public for their help in sharing the appeal.

Searches took place overnight and this morning.

He has now returned home.

Dorset Police have launched a public appeal to find a missing man who is said to have been "very upset lately".

A helicopter search has been launched to try and find David Loose, 36, who is described as "white, five feet two inches tall and with mousy brown hair".

Anyone with information is being asked to contact police on 101.

Mr Loose has been missing from an address in Shaftesbury Close, West Moors, Dorset, since 9pm yesterday, Monday January 14.

The call was raised to police at 11.27pm.

Chief Inspector Lance Cliff, of Dorset Police, said: “David has been very upset lately and we are becoming increasingly concerned for him.

"I would ask anyone who has seen him or a man matching the description given to please contact Dorset Police.

“If David sees this appeal I would ask him to please call.

"We and your family are all very worried about you and just want to know you are safe”.
