I refer to the lead article in the Echo on Tuesday, January 1: “Major regeneration projects in the town have been years in the making, with proposals, consultations and even arguments, but the next few months will see all this coming to fruition.”, says Councillor Jeff Cant.
He continues, “From the seafront lights to North Quay, the Pavilion Peninsular and even the inner harbour-side, it is hoped that big, positive changes will begin to be noticed.”
These were certainly not supported by the vast majority of residents.
Councillor Cant hopes to look back and say he has made a difference to the town.
Well, an adequate number of toilets would have made a difference, and Esplanade fairy lights would have made a popular difference.
