Don’t miss out on your chance to have your say on the new North Quay plans.
Consultation events will be held at the Crown Hotel on St Thomas Street today from 2pm to 8pm and tomorrow from 10am to 4pm.
The plans will be on display and there will be opportunities to discuss any changes people would like to see.
The borough council announced it had teamed up with housing group Magna in December, after months of waiting to hear what would happen to the site after Acorn South’s vision failed to progress.
The new plans include demolishing the offices and building around 90 flats, including affordable homes.
It’s hoped the site can be pulled down and principles for a planning application worked up by the time Weymouth and Portland Borough Council is abolished in April.
If you can’t make it to either of the consultation days, you can fill out a questionnaire online at magna.org.uk or on its Facebook page. The questionnaire will be available from today until Wednesday, January 23.
