A woman has been charged after meat was stolen from Marks and Spencers.
A 33-year-old Weymouth woman will appear at Weymouth Magistrates Court after a quantity of packaged meat was allegedly stolen from the St Mary Street store.
The meat included ribeye steaks costing £8 each and fillet steaks, sold for £6 each.
Police said they believed the meat was planned to be sold to a local public house.
The theft reportedly happened sometime in the afternoon on Tuesday, January 15.
Two people, a man and a woman, were originally arrested however a spokesman for Dorset Police said the man had been released and police were taking no further action against him.
A Weymouth woman was charged with theft from a shop.
She is due to appear at court on January 30.
