Five vehicles have been involved in two separate crashes on the A35 near Dorchester.
At 5.01pm two cars were involved in a crash on the A35 west of Poundbury.
The crash occurred approximately one mile from Monkeys Jump Roundabout (junction with A37) near to Tilly Whim Lane.
A black Vauxhall Insignia registered to a man from Poundbury and a silver Ford Fusion registered to a Bridport man were involved.
No injuries have been reported but the road is currently partially blocked and police are at the scene.
The road remained blocked until after 6pm while the vehicles were recovered but has now been reopened and traffic has cleared.
A second crash on the A35 happened less than 40 minutes later.
Three vehicles were involved in a crash just before 5.40pm near to the Stinsford Roundabout.
The crash was reported by a passing police officer and involved a grey Audi A4 belonging to a man from London, a white Peugeot panel van registered to a man from Blandford Forum and a green Ford Fiesta belonging to a woman from Cornwall.
An eyewitness reported several ambulance vehicles at the scene, but police have now confirmed no one has been injured.
The road remained closed while recovery of the vehicles is being arranged but reopened just after 7pm.
